Octopus tile necklace - navy

Steeped in legend, the octopus has been revered as both villain and god. Its far-reaching arms, shape-shifting body, and ability to squeeze into the tiniest spaces make it seem almost unearthly, and has inspired many myths and legends around the world.

Having been around for over 330 million years, octopuses are an important part of a complex underwater ecosystem. They play a vital role as predators of crustaceans which could take over a reef, prey to marine mammals, sharks, and birds, and den-builders which creates microhabitats for many smaller species.

Cut from a wider tile-design featuring shells, seaweed, and an octopus, the pendant is made from a blend of lightweight polymer clays, silver leaf for a subtle sparkle, and a silver pigment, and hangs on an 18 inch steel-coloured chain with a lobster clip fastener. Each piece features a section of the overall design and will be randomly selected for each purchase. 

The pendant measures approximately 3cm in height, and have been made in 2 colours - capri blue and navy blue, with matching stud earrings available in each colour.

This item will arrive on a recyclable unbleached paper-based display card as standard.
If gift wrapping is selected, the items will arrive in a recyclable unbleached paper-based box with a sponge insert, wrapped in tissue paper, and sealed with a sticker. Please reuse or recycle packaging wherever possible.
